United States exceeded 3 million confirmed cases of Covid-19

The United States crossed the barrier of 3 million confirmed cases of Covid-19, Vice President Mike Pence reported Wednesday.

At this stage, we tested more than 39 million Americans, and among them more than 3 million Americans tested positive, Pence said at a White House news conference.

This level of confirmed cases occurs less than a month after having registered 2 million infections of the new coronavirus.

The United States is the country in the world with the most deaths from Covid-19, with more than 131,521 deaths, according to the balance of Johns Hopkins University.

The American vice president, who came to the press conference wearing a mask, indicated that the most worrying states are Arizona, Florida and Texas and that there were indications that the percentage of positive tests was stabilizing.

Regarding the situation in Florida, one of the most congested points, Deborah Birx, the White House coordinator for the pandemic, also pointed out that emergency consultations for respiratory symptoms related to Covid-19 is on the decline.
