Two residential blocks in Tung Chung and North Point locked down

Tower 6, Albany Cove of Caribbean Coast Phase II in Tung Chung and Nam Tin Building on King's Road in North Point have been locked down Saturday night amid Covid fear.

The lockdown in Tung Chung is expected to be lifted at 6.30am Sunday, while the one in North Point at 7am Sunday.

Residents of these two blocks must undergo testing by 1am Sunday. They could only be exempted if they had tested negative between December 30, 2021 and Saturday (Jan 1).

People who had been to there for more than two hours between December 12, 2021 and Saturday (Jan 1) have to undergo compulsory testing by next Monday (Jan 3) as well.

Vaccinated persons are also required to undergo testing, the government reminded.

The two buildings was put on lockdown as government detected two preliminary positive cases who live at these two buildings and carried a mutant strain.
