During a tour of Curundú, one of the townships of the capital with the most cases of coronavirus, the Minister of Health, Rosario Turner, warned that if the citizens do not correctly apply the measures to mitigate the spread of this virus, they will have to reapply some restrictions.
"If the population does not follow the instructions, they will make us take the measures back to where we do not want to go," Turner said while handing out masks in that area.
She reiterated that there are 23 townships in the country that concentrate the largest number of Covid-19 cases. "We are fighting the virus. Be part of this great battle, actively, following the instructions of the Ministry. We can have all kinds of differences, including policies, but on this issue it is a matter of country, of nation, and we can achieve it differently,” she said.
"I repeat again: it is not the opening of the country, it is a measure of balance between the health, economic and social aspects," Turner added of the opening of the first two blocks of activities.

She reported that due to the "behavior" of a part of the citizens in recent days, which has not complied with the sanitary provisions, the curfew will be extended in the provinces of Panama and Panama West starting at 5:00 pm tomorrow. and until 5:00 am on Monday, June 8.
In the rest of the national territory, the curfew is maintained from 7:00 pm and until 5:00 am
In addition, the Minsa declared a sanitary fence in the Chiriquí Grande district, as well as in the communities of Pantanal and Finca 01 in the Changuinola district, and in the La Solution neighborhood, Bocas del Toro district. All of these sites are in the Bocas del Toro province.
