Three students sit DSE biology exam in Penny’s Bay, one quit due to illness

Three students sat for the Diploma of Secondary education examinations in the exam rooms of Penny’s Bay isolation facility, with one student dropping out due to illness as the exams entered their 14th day.

About 13,070 students took the Biology and Combined Science (Biology) exams on Friday, the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority announced.

The Authority said among the three students in Penny’s Bay, two took the exam there due to the quarantine order, and one was there due to a Covid infection.

There was no application from students requesting an isolated exam room in Penny’s Bay this morning, while one candidate chose not to sit the exams due to sickness, the Authority added.

Today’s exam is staged at 134 hall exam centers, and 243 special exam centers for students with special educational needs.
