Three hospitals to set up Covid-19 jab stations next week

The Hospital Authority will set up vaccination stations at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Tuen Mun Hospital and Queen Mary Hospital next week.

Secretary for Food and Health Sophia Chan Siu-chee said that the new arrangement will facilitate people visiting the specialist out-patient clinics, especially the elderly.

People deemed suitable for vaccination can get the jabs right after consultation, Chan said.

Patrick Nip Tak-kuen, Secretary for the Civil Service, said that the three hospitals are leading hospitals with bigger premises. They will provide the BioNTech vaccine.

He said that the arrangement may be expanded to other hospitals if the pilot one works well.
