Three bar staffers caught providing negative test results for customers' entry

Two managers and a staffer in a Tsim Sha Tsui bar were arrested Friday night for misleading police officers by providing Covid-19 testing sticks with a negative result to customers.

The managers, two men, aged 40 and 41, and the 18-year-old female staffer were also arrested on suspicion of breaching the Cap 599F Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation.

Another 25-year-old woman was arrested for misleading police officers as well for presenting another person's negative test result.

A 22-year-old man was issued a fixed penalty ticket for failing to present a test result at all.

As officers continued their raid targeting restaurants and bars in the area, they arrested a 21-year-old man for presenting another person's vaccine pass.

All arrestees are now remanded in custody.
