Take at least a week to rebound Covid-19 after holiday

There are chances to rebound coronavirus one to two weeks after the holiday, but not immediately, Chuang Shuk-kwan, head of the Centre for Health Protection’s Communicable Disease Branch, said.

Chuang added that the pandemic might rebound if there were more gatherings during the holiday. People not wearing masks will also affect the pandemic situation.

“We cannot see the rebound immediately after the holiday, but only one to two weeks later,” she added.

She asked the citizens who played high-risk activities and found symptoms to consult the doctor immediately.

Chaung added that many private doctors do not open during long holidays, reducing the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases from the private clinic. There will be more people who consult doctors after resuming work, the number of coronavirus cases will increase.
