Tai Wai, Tsuen Wan and Kowloon Bay lockdowns detect seven new Covid infections

Health authorities on Thursday concluded the overnight lockdown operations at three housing estates in Tai Wai, Tsuen Wan and Kowloon Bay, with seven positive Covid infections detected.

A total of around 4,040 residents from Fu Chung House of Mei Chung Court, Yeung Shue House of Lei Muk Shue Estate, and Block 5 and 6 of Richland Gardens were tested.

The lockdown operations at Mei Chung Court and Richland Gardens each picked up two Covid infections, while the lockdown at Lei Muk Shue Estate picked up three.

There were also 2 interminate cases at Mei Chung Court, according to health authorities.

Officials visited 1,609 households during the overnight operations, but 180 did not answer the door.

The government said it will take measures to follow up.
