Sucre: 'Those who do not comply with quarantine will be taken to the hotels'

The health authorities will insist on the transfer of the person declared positive to SARS-CoV-2 to hospital hotels.

The measure aims to keep the infected in contact with their family members for as little time as possible, reported Health Minister Luis Francisco Sucre.

And it is that the official explained that, despite the fact that those affected by the new coronavirus have been given the possibility of remaining in their residences, many of them have violated the rule, which puts their families at risk.

Sucre remarked, on TVN Channel 2, that those who break the quarantine will be fined by the Minsa.

In the second instance, the minister added that resources are being sought so that offenders can be detained and taken - on a mandatory basis - to hospital hotels.

Those who do not comply with the quarantine will be taken to the hotels on a mandatory basis, he stressed.

The Government announced on Tuesday, July 14, a total quarantine on weekends in the provinces of Panama and Panama West to try to reduce the spread of Covid-19.

The curfew remains in effect from Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 pm During the weekends, no one will be able to circulate from 7:00 pm on Friday until 5:00 am on Monday.

In addition, a staggered schedule will be put into effect for public and private sector workers in both provinces. This measure will take effect from Monday, July 20.
