SOGO Causeway Bay closes for weekend over infected worker

SOGO department store in Causeway Bay will close on Saturday and Sunday after a staffer there tested preliminarily positive for Covid-19.

The company issued a statement on Facebook late at night and said a patient who tested preliminarily positive for Covid-19 had been posted to work in the Causeway Bay branch.

“In order to protect the health and safety of all customers and colleagues, the Causeway Bay branch will close on February 5 and 6.”

The department store added that thorough cleaning and vaporizing disinfection works on all facilities and public areas have been arranged, while workers will have to undergo Covid-19 testing immediately.
