The premises covered by the vaccine pass include fitness centers, cinemas, beauty parlors, salons, supermarkets, sports centers, nightclubs, and karaoke establishments.

The arrangement applies to adults aged 18 or above, teenagers aged between 12 and 17 who have received their first dose of vaccine for six months or more, and patients aged 12 or above who have recovered from Covid for six months or more.

Before granting them entry, restaurant staffers or operators must scan customers' vaccine pass QR code, vaccination exemption certificate, or recovered patients' QR code.

The government reminded citizens that starting tomorrow (Sun), only vaccination exemption certificates issued electronically by a doctor through the eHealth system and Hospital Authority's computer system will be accepted.

Exemption certificates without an encrypted QR code will not be accepted.

Meanwhile, the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department said officers will cooperate with police and strengthen patrol over the weekend, targeting restaurant operators, staffers, and customers who breach the Covid rules.

As for the third phase of the vaccine pass arrangement, it will begin on May 31. By then, citizens aged 12 or above will have to receive their booster jab before entering those specific premises.
