The Ministry of Health (Minsa) promulgated this Friday in the Official Gazette Resolution No. 766 , through which sanitary measures are established for passengers entering the Republic of Panama, as long as the State of National Emergency is maintained.
The document details that every person who enters the country will have to meet the following requirements:
1. Present to the airline the test certificate of swab / PCR or negative antigen with a maximum of 48 hours before boarding the flight from the country of origin.
2. Sign an acceptance in the affidavit, provided by the airline, by which the passenger agrees to:
a) Comply with the sanitary control measures and health protocol established by the National Government through the Minsa.
b) The use of the application to monitor the appearance of symptoms and confirmation of quarantine or other measures that the Minsa has for the proper traceability of the passenger.
3. Provide the landline of the residence where you will be quarantined.
The technical crews, auxiliary crews, mechanics and humanitarian personnel are exempted from this provision, but they must comply with the mandatory use of the mask and with the other biosecurity measures established by the Minsa; while diplomatic personnel will only be required to comply with literal (a) of numeral 2 and 3 of this article.
Requests for authorization of commercial flights will have to be approved by the Minsa for their entry into the country and must be submitted 20 days prior to arrival, in order to coordinate the proper care by health personnel upon arrival of the passengers.
The entry of humanitarian flights will have to be authorized by the Minsa and must be requested 5 days in advance, unless it warrants an authorization in less time for reasons of medical urgency or other duly supported.
In the case of flights for the transport of products, hospital medical equipment, medicines, vaccines and any other public health input required to face the COVID-19 pandemic, they will not require authorization from the Minsa; while the requests for private flights that must be authorized by the health authorities, will have to be submitted 7 days in advance and their passengers will be obliged to comply with the requirements described in Article 2 of this Resolution.
On the other hand, the departure of persons from the Republic of Panama will not require authorization from the Ministry of Health.
