Registration starts for lucky draw of New Year countdown concert tickets

Registration for a lucky draw of 3,000 tickets of a star-studded New Year countdown concert in West Kowloon has opened on Monday.

Users had to wait 20 minutes before they could enter the page on Monday morning. But traffic has eased in the afternoon, and it now takes only a few minutes to enter the site.

Hong Kong Tourism Board announced it will host for the first time a New Year countdown concert at the Art Park of the West Kowloon Cultural District from 10 pm on December 31 to 12. 30am on January 1.

Popular stars and music groups will join the show, including Mirror, AGA, Alfred Hui Ting-hang, Gin Lee and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.

A total of 3,000 tickets will be given out to 1,500 members of the public in a lucky draw opening for registration from 10 am on Monday to 5.30 pm on November 24.

The HKTB reminded that tickets are not available on a first-come, first-served basis. One's registration time will not affect the chances of winning, so there is no need to rush in registration.

All participants, including lucky draw registrants and their companions, must enter the lucky draw with their name and ID card number for verification and cross-checking. Winners and their companions are required to present the supporting documents – their HKID card and vaccination records – when collecting the tickets in person together and upon admission to the concert. All tickets are non-transferable.

Registrants must be at least 18 years old and their companions must be at least 12 years old. Each person can only register once as a registrant or as a companion, and no duplicate entries are allowed.

Results will be announced on December 3. Seats will be randomly assigned by the computer and will not be able to select or change.

All attendants must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 in Hong Kong by December 13. They will be required to record their visit with the LeaveHomeSafe app on admission.
