A total of 24 people were placed under arrest of the authorities for breaching Executive Decree No. 644 establishing the curfew in Panama in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The action took place during regulations verification operations carried out by units of the National Police in Buenaventura beach, in the province of Coclé.

Until yesterday, Saturday, June 11, Panama adds 893 deaths from the virus and 44,332 accumulated cases, however, in the last weekend, videos of parties, meetings and trips to the beach circulated on social networks, with crowds of people.

The health authorities reiterate to the general population that those who fail to comply with the sanitary measures will apply the established legal measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 throughout the national territory.
