Panama records 923 new COVID-19 cases 28 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) announced on Tuesday, July 14, that there are total of 48,096 cases of the virus in Panama. According to the official report, the coronavirus has left a total of 960 dead in the country.

According to the official data, 24,667 patients have clinically recovered from the disease. There are currently 22,322 active cases.

Deaths

A total of 23 new deaths were recorded over 24 hours, which brings the total to 960. The death rate of the infected is currently 2%.

Testing

2,599 new tests were conducted in since the last report, of which 36% were positive. The number of total tests is now 171,116, of which 120,068 were negative.

Testing rate is reported to cover 3,999 per 100,000 population.

Treatment

20,639 patients are in home isolation and 658 are in so-called hospital hotels.

The Ministry of Health also reported that 1,015 are in the hospital ward and 157 in the intensive care units.
