Panama records 1,540 new COVID-19 cases 23 deaths in 24 hours

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) announced on Monday, July 13, that there are total of 47,173 cases of the virus in Panama. According to the official report, the coronavirus has left a total of 932 dead in the country.

According to the official data, 23,919 patients have clinically recovered from the disease. There are currently 22,322 active cases.

Deaths

A total of 23 new deaths were recorded over 24 hours, which brings the total to 932. The death rate of the infected is currently 1.97%.

Testing

3,590 new tests were conducted in since the last report, of which 42.9% were positive. The number of total tests is now 168,517, of which 118,412 were negative.

Testing rate is reported to cover 3,939 per 100,000 population.

Treatment

20,500 patients are in home isolation and 658 are in so-called hospital hotels.

The Ministry of Health also reported that 1,005 are in the hospital ward and 159 in the intensive care units.
