Panama Metro increases trains to guarantee physical distance

The Panama Metro increased the fleet of trains on lines 1 and 2 to guarantee a transport capacity of 40%, which allows maintaining the physical distance to avoid the spread of COVID-19, after the opening of block 2 of activities economic and the lifting of mobility restriction measures.

40% of capacity corresponds to 400 users per train, 80 per wagon.

On line 1 of the Panama Metro it was increased from 19 to 23 trains and from 14 to 17 on line 2.

In order for users to keep a minimum of 1 to 2 meters away, the self-care guide was installed on the trains and stations.

With the curfew measure from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am, the Metro's hours of operation remain from Monday to Saturday from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm and on Sundays from 7:00 am to 7: 00 pm
