Covid infections on the rise

Covid-19 cases are on the rise with 382 new infections reported in Panama on Tuesday, December 14 for a cumulative total of 481,438 confirmed cases, of which 470,561 have been recovered, according to the Epidemiological Report of the Ministry of Health (Minsa).

During the past 24 hours, there were two deaths bringing the total to date to, 7,391 deaths, for lethality of 1.54%.

On Tuesday they applied 9,535 tests, with a percentage of positivity of 4%.

The Minsa reported 3,486 active cases with121 hospitalized 105 in the covid-19 ward and 16 in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Vaccinations

On Tuesday, the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) reported that since January in Panama 6,130,791 doses of the vaccine against covid-19 have been applied.
