Online platform launched for downloading Covid-19 test result

An electronic platform allowing citizens to download their Covid-19 virus test results has launched yesterday.

The Covid-19 Electronic Testing Record System allows those who get tested via the Department of Health, Hospital Authority and community testing centers and received negative results since last Thursday to download their results, the government wrote in a statement.

Citizens would be able to download their test record after inputting their Hong Kong identity card number and specimen bottle number to the system’s website, it said.

The government also said it will hold a briefing on the system later in the week to institutions currently providing private testing services, in hopes that the platform can also cover virus test records by private institutions soon.

Users will also be able to access their “Electronic Vaccination Record” through the system at a later stage.

“By then, the public can download both their Covid-19 electronic testing record and vaccination record after verifying their identity through the iAM Smart app -- a government digital service platform rolled out last Wednesday,” the statement said.
