New World Harbour Race to make splash on October 23

The annual swimming race across Victoria Harbour will be held this year on October 23, with up to 1,500 people allowed to participate in the event, the same as last year.

Public registration will begin on September 17 till September 23.

All participants must use the vaccine pass and be cleared of Covid through nucleic acid tests 48 hours before the race. They must also undergo rapid antigen tests on the day of the race.

This year’s race will be comprised of two groups - the Leisure Group and the Racing Group. The starting point is set at the Golden Bauhinia Square Public Pier in Wan Chai, while the finishing line is at the Avenue of Stars in Tsim Sha Tsui.

The organizer of the event previously said only 500 people are allowed to participate due to government Covid restrictions.
