To date, more than 13,500 labor contracts have been reactivated, after the opening of blocks 1 and 2 of economic activities, reported Cristal Lawson, legal adviser to the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (Mitradel).
Lawson recalled that not all companies are working 100% because the reopening is gradual, so in Decree 81 it was stated that once normal returns, companies must return to all of their workers in mutual agreement.
Meanwhile, Executive Decree 71 establishes an agreement to temporarily modify the working day between the company and the worker, she mentioned.
To date there are 250,671 registered contract suspensions, so only 5% of these contracts have been reinstated so far after opening blocks 1 and 2.
For the reactivation of contracts, companies must inform and supply Mitradel with a list of general data on workers, completing the digital form that is available on the website www.mitradel.gob.pa.
Companies must also comply with the creation and registration of the health and hygiene committee for the prevention and care of COVID-19, which must be made up of representatives of employers and workers to ensure that sanitary measures are complied with and avoid contagion.
