Health Minister Rosario Turner reported that 79% of the swab samples that were taken on Sunday, were in the provinces of Panama and Panama West, where the highest number of cases of COVID-19 is reported.
She reiterated that the health system has not collapsed, however, "a balance is being sought between economic, health, and social [impact]."
She stressed that they are carrying out intersectoral actions, with the Panama Protect Yourself program, with the participation of governors, mayors, representatives, the Ministry of Social Development (Mides), among other institutions, where they are brought food and at the same time it is trying to bring them the reusable masks to reduce the risk of contagion.
She added that physical distance is essential, not leaving the house if it is not necessary and taking care of our elder adults.
