Maximum capacity of Genting Dream to be increased to 75pc

The maximum passenger capacity of the Genting Dream will be increased from 50 percent to 75 percent starting December 1 following the latest government guidelines, Dream Cruises announced on Wednesday.

After the 25 percent increase, over 2,500 guests would be allowed on board on every voyage to enjoy a seacation.

Since Dream Cruises resumed operations on July 30, they have welcomed over 70,000 passengers aboard the Genting Dream without any Covid-related incident.

Dream Cruises said overall demand for cruises remains at a high level, and the Christmas and New Year’s sailings have already sold out based on the previous 50 percent capacity.

The cruise company expected the increase to provide a boost to the holiday season for guests who have not been able to book their seacation during the peak period.

Guests can set sail on “A Nordic Christmas Adventure” from now until January 1, 2022, to explore the traditions of Nordic countries with friends and family this Christmas.

Dream Cruises also offers a special Thanksgiving flash sale from November 24 until December 7, with fares as low as HK$888 per person.
