Mainland expert visited airport, mega bridge, restaurant, hospital and Covid-19 contact tracing office

A delegate of mainland health experts inspected anti-epidemic measures at border points, authorities’ contact tracing office and medical and quarantine centers on their second day in Hong Kong on Sunday.

The experts were accompanied by Secretary for Food and Health Sophia Chan Siu-chee and Centre for Health Protection’s Head of Communicable Disease Chuang Shuk-kwan to Hong Kong International Airport on Sunday morning, to inspect the segregation arrangements for handling arrivals from mainland and international flights.

They also visited the Centre for Food Safety’s test center at the Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal, where imported frozen food are tested on a random basis.

The delegates then moved to the North Lantau Hospital Hong Kong Infection Control Center to look at treatment of patients, before inspecting a restaurant in Tung Chung.

In the afternoon, they visited the Hong Kong Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and inspected the clearance procedures of travellers and cross-border trucks.

The experts also went to the Penny’s Bay Quarantine Centre and the Centre for Health Protection’s contact tracing office in Kai Tak Community Hall.
