Let’s Go! HK Sevens returns in November after confirming government approval

The long-awaited Hong Kong Sevens will return on November 4 to 6 as the Hong Kong Rugby Union was granted approval by the government, the organizer announced Saturday.

Still, the union stressed that they would continue to consult the government, and the event would be delivered in accordance with the Covid-19 curbs in place at the time.

“After three and a half years without a Sevens, I am confident this will be a very special event, all be it there lies plenty of hard work ahead for our dedicated events team.

“I would like to thank the government, our sponsors, and World Rugby for their support, and I am delighted to be able to once again tell the world – See You at the Sevens!” said HKRU Chairman Patrick Donovan.

With just over three months before the event kicks off, the union added they will be liaising with all stakeholders starting next week and announcing further event details, including ticketing information, in the near future.
