Housing Society launches shopping promotion campaign to boost vaccine rate

The Hong Kong Housing Society is set to launch a “Bounce Back Together” shopping promotion campaign on August 1 to boost the city’s vaccine rate and stimulate local economy.

Residents living in its 20 rental estates and elderly housing projects, as well as staff, will be given one set of cash coupons worth HK$100 for use at around 280 shops operated by the society’s commercial tenants.

Meanwhile, to encourage vaccination to achieve herd immunity for safer shopping, residents of the society’s rental estates and elderly housing projects and staff who have received the COVID-19 vaccines in Hong Kong on or before August 31 will be given extra sets of cash coupons in early September – one extra set for one dose and two extra sets for two doses.

A total of 200,000 sets of cash coupons have been prepared for the campaign, according to the society.

Coupon holders can use the cash coupons at participating shops from August 1 to September 22. One HK$10 cash coupon can be used for every purchase of not less than HK$10. Multiple cash coupons can be used for one single purchase.

Arrangements have been made for residents to collect the cash coupons during July, and details of the Campaign are available on the society’s website.
