The chief executive of the Hospital Authority, Tony Ko Pat-sing, on Tuesday tested positive for Covid through a rapid antigen test.
The authority said in a statement that Ko last went to work on Monday, and had followed all infection control measures, including wearing a mask.
He also conducted daily rapid antigen testing and regular polymerase chain reaction-based nucleic acid testing, the statement wrote.
It added that Ko is now under isolation and the authority will conduct cleaning and disinfection at relevant offices.
