HK travelers to Beijing must show negative Covid results before boarding

Hong Kong travelers entering Beijing will have to present a report showing negative results of a Covid test conducted in the past seven days, with samples collected through nasal and throat swabs.

From March 15, those who arrived in Beijing from Hong Kong through a direct flight must show the report before boarding, the Beijing government said in a statement.

The report must be carried out in medical organizations certified by the Hong Kong government and needs to include the sampling methods. Only nasal swabs and combined nasal and throat swabs will be accepted for adult travelers while children under 6 years old will mostly adopt throat swabs.

Those who fail to produce complete documents will not be allowed to board the flights.
