HK Cyclothon to be held at Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge in November

The Hong Kong Tourism Board is planning to host the Hong Kong Cyclothon this November, with the route of the event covering the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge for the first time.

The grand cycling event has been canceled in the past two years due to the social unrest and the pandemic.

This year's competition will see cyclists racing at the Hong Kong Link Road of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, covering a distance of about 42 kilometers.

Overseas cyclists will not be invited to the competition this year, and only 2,000 local citizens will be allowed to compete in the race.

HKTB said they aim at launching the physical event this year, yet it still depends on Hong Kong's Covid-19 situation.

At the same time, a virtual cycling race showing the scenery of the Bridge will be prepared for cyclists as well.
