DGI announces change of schedule for customer service starting this Wednesday

The General Directorate of Revenue (DGI) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) announced its new opening hours to the public in person, starting this Wednesday, July 15.

The change for the DGI service hours is done to make the service more agile due to complications from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The new schedule from this Wednesday will be adults 60 years of age and older will be able to attend the DGI facilities on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and the attention to the rest of the population will be on Wednesdays, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm

They request taxpayers to minimize, as far as possible, their physical attendance at the DGI facilities in Panama, since the institution maintains its online attention from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

All the services provided by the institution are available to taxpayers on the website where the contact center has been advanced and strengthened, which has gone from attending 66 procedures to 120 online procedures so that everyone can comfortably their houses or offices can, through the DGI App, request a prior appointment if they need it and thus receive care more quickly and easily without queues or delays, said a statement from the entity.
