Covid-19 deaths reach 326 in the Panama; 12,531 cases of infected are reported

The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) 29 May indicated that Covid-19 disease has so far left 326 dead; six people have died in the last 24 hours.

According to the official data, the total number of infected with the virus in the country is now 12,531, while 7,540 patients have recovered from the disease.

Testing

1,439 new tests were conducted in since the last report. The number of total tests is now 64,641, of which 49,849 were negative.

Testing rate is reported to cover 1,511 per 100,000 population.

Treatment

3,787 patients are in home isolation. 526 are in so-called hospital hotels.

The Ministry of Health also reported that 279 people in hospital ward and 79 in the intensive care units.

>80 years old: 78

Cases by provinces: Panama 7,873, Panama West 2,377, Veraguas 691, Colón 452, Chiriquí 331, Guna Yala 233, Darién 203, Bocas del Toro 164, Coclé 88, Ngäbe Buglé 84, Los Santos 18 and Herrera 17.
