With the spread of COVID-19, authorities have opened up access to Skype, Zoom and other video-chat apps.
The United Arab Emirates lifted restrictions on some programs that allow voice calls over the Internet, including Microsoft Skype for Business and Google Hangout, to help people work from home and avoid spreading the coronavirus.
Applications allowed on all networks in the country are: Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Blackboard.

The applications are available until further notice, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority said in a statement.
The regulator said it will occasionally review the list of available applications.
The Gulf state, where 85% of the population are foreigners, blocks most applications that allow free voice calls over the Internet. The curbs have long been a grievance for expatriates who want to keep in touch with family and friends back home and work remotely.
