Construction industry weathered COVID crisis well

According to KPMG's 2021 Global Construction Survey, the world's construction industry weathered the COVID-19 crisis well, said Pál Dános, KPMG Hungary associate partner, at a press conference according to napi.hu.

Some 35% of the companies were prepared for the epidemic, and a further 62% said that although they were surprised by the events, they could continue their operations with fast and innovative solutions and the transformation of work processes.

The Hungarian construction companies participating in the global research assessed the adaptation as successful. However, they indicated that fluctuations in building material prices and bottlenecks in supply chains could still cause problems for the sector.
