Around 3.86 million in Hong Kong jabbed

An additional 28,700 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine on Thursday, with the city’s tally now stands at around 3.86 million for people who have received their first jab.

As of yesterday night, about 6,881,100 doses of Covid vaccines have been administered to members of the public, according to official data.

Among them, about 3,858,500 have received their first dose, with about 1,446,300 receiving the Sinovac vaccine and about 2,412,300 receiving the BioNTech vaccine.

Meanwhile, a total of 3,022,600 individuals have received their second dose, with about 1,165,000 receiving the Sinovac vaccine and about 1,857,600 receiving the BioNTech vaccine.

On Wednesday, 12 individuals were sent to the hospital after experiencing common side effects after vaccination and were in stable condition. Six of them were discharged, one was admitted for observation and one left the hospital without seeking any consultation, along with four who were discharged against medical advice.
