All you need to know about the HK-Singapore "travel bubble”

Singapore and Hong Kong will launch the 'travel bubble' on May 26 with one flight a day until June 9. Here is a checklist for those who wish to participate in the travel arrangement.

All those who want to use the travel bubble must not have been in any other city (apart from Hong Kong and Singapore) in the last 14 days prior to departure.

Travelers must be fully vaccinated and waited 14 days after the second jab for antibodies to develop in order for the vaccine to be effective. [Click here to make an appointment for Hong Kong’s Covid-19 vaccination program]

Apply for an Air Travel Pass 7 to 30 days prior to departure. [Click here to apply]

Visitors who cannot enjoy visa-free entry must obtain a visa after successfully applied for the Air Travel Pass. (HKSAR passport and BNO passport holders can enjoy visa-free entry to Singapore)

Purchase flight tickets of designated flights under the “travel bubble’ arrangement.

Travelers are required to take COVID-19 PCR nucleic acid tests with their specimen collected within 72 hours prior to departure from Hong Kong and Singapore. The report must clearly state the traveler’s name, date of birth, travel document ID, date of the test and the name of the testing institution. Travelers will require proof of travel insurance covering Covid-19 treatment.

Travelers are also expected to download Singapore’s contact tracing app TraceTogether before they arrive in Singapore and to keep it activated during the trip. [Click here to download]

Travelers departing Hong Kong need to submit a health declaration form in advance through the SG Arrival Card.
