948 new COVID-19 cases within 24 hours; 493 total deaths in Panama

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) announced on Saturday, June 20, that there are 948 new cases of the virus in 24 hours. According to the official report, the coronavirus has left a total of 493 dead in the country.
According to the official data, the total number of infected with the virus in the country is now 25,222, while 14,359 patients have recovered from the disease.
A total of eight new deaths were recorded over 24 hours. One of the new death cases was a woman at age 65. Seven of the death cases were men at age between 68 and 81.
There are currently 10,370 active cases.
Testing
2,767 new tests were conducted in since the last report. The number of total tests is now 105,470, of which 77,494 were negative.
Testing rate is reported to cover 2,465 per 100,000 population.
Treatment
9,008 patients are in home isolation and 722 are in so-called hospital hotels.
The Ministry of Health also reported that 519 are in the hospital ward and 121 in the intensive care units.
