697 new COVID-19 cases within 24 hours; total cases 18,586

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) announced on Thursday, June 11, that there are 697 new cases of the virus in 24 hours. According to the official report, the coronavirus has left a total of 418 dead in the country.

According to the official data, the total number of infected with the virus in the country is now 18,586, while 11,077 patients have recovered from the disease.

A total of 10 new deaths were recorded over 24 hours. One of the new death cases was a women, at age between 85, and four men at age between 65 and 87.

There are currently 7,091 active cases.

Testing

2,233 new tests were conducted in since the last report. The number of total tests is now 85,007, of which 63,805 were negative.

Testing rate is reported to cover 1,987 per 100,000 population.

Treatment

5,910 patients are in home isolation, of which 695 are in so-called hospital hotels.

The Ministry of Health also reported that 390 are in the hospital ward and 96 in the intensive care units.
