The Ministry of Health (Minsa) announced on Wednesday, June 17, that there are 635 new cases of the virus in 24 hours. According to the official report, the coronavirus has left a total of 470 dead in the country.
According to the official data, the total number of infected with the virus in the country is now 22,597, while 13,774 patients have recovered from the disease.
A total of 13 new deaths were recorded over 24 hours. Three of the new death cases were women; age 42, 58 and 72. Ten of the death cases were men at age between 49 and 102.
There are currently 8,353 active cases.
Testing
2,103 new tests were conducted in since the last report. The number of total tests is now 97,402, of which 72,084 were negative.
Testing rate is reported to cover 2,277 per 100,000 population.
Treatment
6,987 patients are in home isolation and 773 are in so-called hospital hotels.
The Ministry of Health also reported that 484 are in the hospital ward and 109 in the intensive care units.
