The Ministry of Health (Minsa) announced on Saturday, June 6, that there are 541 new cases of the virus in 24 hours. According to the official report, the coronavirus has left a total of 386 dead in the country.
According to the official data, the total number of infected with the virus in the country is now 16,004, while 10,118 patients have recovered from the disease.
A total of 16 new deaths were recorded over 24 hours. 12 of the new death cases were men aged 55-90, and four women aged 69-79. The cause of death in eight cases was 'age', four related to metabolism, the rest chronic decease, heart or blood related issues.
Testing
1,772 new tests were conducted in since the last report. The number of total tests is now 76,003, of which 57,480 were negative.
Testing rate is reported to cover 1,776 per 100,000 population.
Treatment
4,472 patients are in home isolation, of which 623 are in so-called hospital hotels.
The Ministry of Health also reported that 323 are in the hospital ward and 82 in the intensive care units.
