The Ministry of Health (Minsa) announced on Monday, June 8, that there are 429 new cases of the virus in 24 hours. According to the official report, the coronavirus has left a total of 398 dead in the country.
According to the official data, the total number of infected with the virus in the country is now 16,854, while 10,401 patients have recovered from the disease.
A total of 5 new deaths were recorded over 24 hours. Two of the new death cases were men, both aged 69, and three women aged 54, 60 and 95.
Testing
1,676 new tests were conducted in since the last report. The number of total tests is now 79,268, of which 59,458 were negative.
Testing rate is reported to cover 1,853 per 100,000 population.
Treatment
4,942 patients are in home isolation, of which 686 are in so-called hospital hotels.
The Ministry of Health also reported that 340 are in the hospital ward and 87 in the intensive care units.
