The Ministry of Health of Panama (Minsa) reported that for this Sunday, June 7, a total of 393 deaths are registered in the country due to coronavirus.
Today there are 421 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the number of accumulated cases to 16,425.
The General Director of Public Health, Nadja Porcell, indicated that to date, some 10,218 people have recovered clinically, while 5,393 remain in home isolation (667 in hopsital hotels), 337 are hospitalized in the ward and in an intensive care unit. there are 84 patients.
She added that a total of 77,592 accumulated tests have been carried out, of which 58,632 are negative, and 18,960 are positive. Panama has reached 1,813 tests per 100,000 inhabitants.
Regarding the number of deaths according to age group, it indicates that 7 deaths are registered in children under 20; from 20 to 39 count 27; from 40 to 59 there are 75; from 60 to 79 187 are registered and in those over 80 there are 97 deaths.
He added that regarding the number of cases according to age group, he points out that in children under 20 there are 1,785 cases; from 20 to 39, 57,219 cases are registered; from 40 to 59 there are 5,253; 60 to 79 account for 1,817; and in over 80,351 cases.
During the month of June, the curfew will be from Saturday at 5:00 pm to Monday at 5:00 am in the provinces of Panama and Panama West due to the increase in COVID-19 infections in the country.
