347 new COVID cases over 24 hours in Panama; total death toll rise to 336

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) announced on Sunday afternoon, May 31, that there are 347 new cases of the virus in 24 hours. According to the official report, the coronavirus has left a total of 336 dead in the country.

According to the official data, the total number of infected with the virus in the country is now 13,463, while 9,514 patients have recovered from the disease.

Testing

1,538 new tests were conducted in since the last report. The number of total tests is now 67,730, of which 51,874 were negative.

Testing rate is reported to cover 1,583 per 100,000 population.

Treatment

2,717 patients are in home isolation. 526 are in so-called hospital hotels.

The Ministry of Health also reported that 291 are in the hospital ward and 79 in the intensive care units.

>80 years old: 80

Cases by provinces: Panama 8,525, Panama West 2,558, Veraguas 710, Colón 475, Chiriquí 350, Guna Yala 233, Darién 211, Bocas del Toro 190, Coclé 91, Ngäbe Buglé 85, Los Santos 18 and Herrera 17.
