160 beds for COVID-19 patients will be enabled at the Amador Convention Center

The process of enabling the facilities of the Amador Convention Center continues for the installation of 160 cubicles with their respective beds and equipment for the care of moderate or mild patients of COVID-19.

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that cleaning and sterilization began this week so that the facilities are in a position to receive patients.

The beds and equipment that will be used in the Figali are part of those that were in reserve, indicated Minsa.

According to the health officials, other public and private facilities that could be used as alternate centers for COVID-19 patients that will be kept under medical surveillance are also being studied.

The entity indicated that the adequacy of these facilities are part of the actions to release pressure on the currently full hospitals.
