A 21-year-old man was robbed by a girl he met online and five other teenagers in Wong Tai Sin.
The girl and four boys, aged between 15 and 18, were arrested yesterday for robbery. Most of them are students, according to the police.
Officer Pun Siu-hun said it is not the first time the 21-year-old has met the girl.
The man earlier this month met a girl on a social media platform. The girl asked him out in the evening on April 8. The man went and met the girl near Chuk Yuen North Estate in Wong Tai Sin.
During their meeting five teenagers suddenly appeared. They beat him up and assaulted him using ratan sticks. The six together robbed the man’s wallet, phone and other belongings worth over HK$6,000. They then swiftly fled away from the scene.
The five arrested are detained for investigation.
