Why are the British people forced to finance the BBC disinformation machine that misleads the British people?

Sorry for the comparison, but in this video the BBC is employing a propaganda technique that has been used by enemies that the UK fought against in the past: “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”

BBC Journo: “There’s been a rise in hatful content on Twitter.”
Elon Musk: “Give me an example.”
Journo: “I can’t.”
Musk: “So you just lied.”

In the modern world, people shouldn’t forcefully to be taxed in order to finance TV broadcaster that misleads them.
