Violence erupts in Central London at 'Free Tommy' protest

Supporters of Tommy Robinson, as well as anti-facist protesters, clashed with police today, bringing violence to Central London. The ‘Free Tommy’ demonstration descended into scuffles and battles with police around Oxford Circus as various ANTIFA groups turned up to counter-protest the presence of Tommy Robinson’s supporters. Tommy Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was jailed for 9 months at the Old Bailey after he was found guilty of contempt of court.
