A large hill fire is raging in Tuen Mun for over a day as firefighters continue to battle the blaze, which has engulfed a hillside at Castle Peak Hinterland.

No one was injured in the hill fire, the Fire Services Department said. Government helicopters have been deployed to try to douse flames with water bombs.

The fire, which broke out at around 4pm yesterday at Castle Peak, had not been extinguished by 4pm today.

The hill fire was burning in at least two areas covering stretches of land 200 meters long, a department spokesman said.
