(Video) Police arrest man who wrecks havoc at CLP center over electricity bill

Police arrested a 40-year-old man in Mong Kok yesterday, who wrecked havoc at a CLP center on Tuesday as he was unhappy about his electricity bill.

The 40-year-old Chee Cheuk-him was charged with criminal damage and the case was mentioned in West Kowloon Magistrates' Courts today's afternoon.

Chee on Tuesday morning stormed into CLP Sham Shui Po Centre on Fuk Wah Street. He destroyed two computer screens and a metal sign reminding staff to wear work badges at the lobby using a stick. He then ran away heading towards Kiu Kiang Street.

Staffers reported the case to police. Officers arrived and estimated property loss worth around HK$27,000, involving two tablets, six computer screens, an automatic hand sanitizer dispenser and a metal sign.

The case was handled by Sham Shui Po district crime squad.
