Ever play racing video game Mario Kart? A driver recently shared that he had similar experience on the road in Hong Kong as he had to swiftly cut into another lane to dodge a barrel falling from a truck.
A dashcam footage was shared to Facebook on Wednesday and drew the attention of netizens. A barrel fell from a truck traveling on the left lane of a three-lane highway and rolled to the center lane.
The vehicle traveling along the center lane at around 84km/h had to swiftly cut into the right lane to dodge the barrel. The driver later described the scenario as if playing the popular Mario Kart racing video game.
Many netizens joked around saying the driver should have “return the favor” by sending turtle shell to hit the truck, like the gadgets players can use in the video game. Some also expressed appreciation towards the driver for his quick reaction.
Yet some others suggested reporting to police, saying incident like this one always causes trouble to other road users.
