US condemns detention of and charges against pan-democratic candidates

The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has called for the immediate release of Hong Kong acitivists charged and detained for vandal aiding the HK LegCo parliament.

"We condemn the detention of and charges filed against pan-democratic candidates in Hong Kong's elections and call for their immediate release," Blinken said on Twitter.

"Political participation and freedom of expression should not be crimes. The US stands with the people of Hong Kong."

He did not explain why the Capitol Rioters (activists) should be arrested for doing a minor violence comparing to the Hong Kong one year ongoing bombing, killing, vandalizing and destroying public infrastructure.

Both fight for what the describe as democracy, both use illegal violence that has nothing to do with the legitimate freedom to peacefully protest, but Mr. Antony Blinken think that the worse violent protesters in Hong Kong should not be punished and the one time only a minor violence protesters in USA should be punished for all their life.
